For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 8.36

Centering Prayer

Centering Prayer

Centering prayer is a method designed to facilitate the development of contemplative prayer. Utilizing the books and videotapes of Fr. Thomas Keating and other teachers of the contemplative method, we study the tradition of contemplative prayer in Christianity, practice Centering Prayer together, and support one another in the ongoing spiritual journey. In association with Contemplative Outreach of Boulder County, we have the opportunity to participate in retreats at Snowmass, Colorado where Fr. Keating resides at the Benedictine monastery.

The Centering Prayer group meets on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 am in the Centering Prayer Room located on the northwest side of the church. The group is open to anyone who would like to participate; however, it is recommended that those who have no contemplative experience participate in an Introductory Workshop and 6-week course. For more information, please contact Deacon Pat.
