Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. Children age 3 through fifth grade are invited to participate in St. John’s annual Christmas pageant. The Christmas story is told by having the children create a simple tableau, as the congregation sings carols. This beloved St. John’s tradition goes back at least 40 years!
Major parts (Gabriel, Mary, Joseph, the Star, the three Kings, Lead Angels and Lead Shepherds) are chosen by the oldest children who attend our one-and-only pageant rehearsal. One of the youngest babies in the parish plays Baby Jesus.
