You are Most Welcome Here
Shalom is a beautiful Hebrew word that means peace and wellbeing and is used to say hello. At St. John’s we take delight in welcoming newcomers in this spirit of shalom. If God draws you to this place, please know that you are most welcome, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. Our worship and life together, like our hearts, remain open.
There is an easy-going spirit and genuine compassion of the people of St. John’s. Inclusiveness and social justice have been hallmarks of this parish for decades. You might like to join us as we serve lunch to individuals without a permanent roof over their heads once a month in our parish hall. If music feeds your spirit, you will find extraordinary artistic excellence in our weekly worship and occasional concerts. Meanwhile, programs of Christian formation and spiritual development for all ages remain a priority and you will find offerings for every member of your family.
You are most welcome here. Most of us have arrived from other religious traditions and often after a time of seeking. What unites us is a genuine desire for peace and wellbeing that can be experienced and shared with others through the love of Christ. We believe that God’s plan is for reconciliation and peace for all people. There is a place for you here. We eagerly await your arrival. Shalom!
