Social Action Ministry Holiday Sale
Date: October 28th 9:00-4:00 & Coffee hour on October 29th
Place: Parish Hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1419 Pine St.
Featuring: Local artists working in various genres
Sale items include: wood crafts, knitted items for children and adults, holiday gift bags, quilts and pillows, jewelry, soap (made by St. John’s children), oil and water color paintings, and more.
Purpose: Members of the Social Action Ministries (SAM) at St. John’s are hosting a Holiday Gift Market to raise funds for social justice projects. SAM social justice networks include: Caring Neighbors; Climate Care; Community, Equity, and Inclusion; Food Insecurity; and Gun Violence Prevention. In general, SAM networks advocate and educate to support social mobility, economic security, and the well-being of all people, including those from Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, unhoused, refugee, immigrant, and other communities. Funds will be used to purchase supplies for people in need, educational materials, speaker’s fees, and more. For more information, visit the St. John’s website.
