For over 125 years, the lifeblood of St. John’s has been its community. From maintaining the building and landscape to honoring our legacy in Boulder’s history, volunteers continue to support St. John’s into the 21st century.

Grounds Volunteers

  • The Garden Volunteers at our church are a dedicated group of volunteers committed to beautifying and maintaining our church grounds. From planting seasonal flowers to designing peaceful outdoor spaces, they work to create an inviting environment for worship and reflection. They also coordinates volunteer efforts and promotes sustainability. Their work enhances our church’s mission by fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all who visit.

  • Anyone is welcome to walk our labyrinth! Discover peace and clarity through the ancient practice of labyrinth walking. Our labyrinth is designed to help you step away from the distractions of daily life and reconnect with your inner self. With its winding path that leads you to the center and back, the labyrinth offers a unique opportunity for reflection, mindfulness, and personal growth. Whether you're seeking quiet contemplation, spiritual renewal, or simply a moment of stillness, walking the labyrinth is an enriching experience that can help you find balance and clarity.   • Our columbarium is the final resting place of many of St. John’s members.

Welcome and History

  • The current Sanctuary of St. John’s started having services in 1903, although there have been Episcopalians worshiping in Boulder since at least the 1870’s. The building has taken many shapes over the years, but our mission of spreading God’s love has not. Our History Committee meets regularly to archive and record our past while we look towards the future.

  • Our Office Volunteers serve regularly during the weekdays to welcome visitors to St. John’s, answer the phone or the door, and help staff with projects as needed.

Financial Planning

  • The Finance Committee at our church is dedicated to ensuring the responsible management of our financial resources. They work closely to develop and oversee our annual budget, ensuring funds are allocated wisely to support ministries, outreach programs, and operational needs. The committee also monitors our financial health, provides transparent reports to the congregation, and helps guide major financial decisions. By managing fundraising efforts and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards, the Finance Committee plays a key role in sustaining our church’s mission and long-term stability.

  • The Stewardship Committee ensures our financial stability for the coming year through our fall campaign. This allows us to budget not only what needs to happen at St. John’s, but how we can best serve the community through our ministries. You can find out more about giving here.
